My introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Ruthy and this is my first blog and post. I started as your typical scrapbooker saving my family memories to share with my other family members that live outside Tampa Bay, Florida. I was introduced to scrapbooking in early 2006 to document my first child (my daughter) school memories and graduation. I enjoyed it so much I bought more scrapbook albums. One for my second child (my son), my last child (my daughter), my pets, and finally one to document family get togethers, vacations, etc. When family members saw my scrapbook albums they began asking me if I would make an album for them. It wasn't until 2009 that I began noticing that my projects started looking similar or the same and I wanted to make a changes. I started dabbling in digital scrapbooking and found since I work on the computers almost all day at work I didn't want to be on the computer when I got home.  I enjoyed the photography part and stuck to that but didn't stick to digital scrapbooking. I did buy a digital camera (a Nikon....I love my Nikon!) but I didn't know much about photography. I wanted to learn more about photography but really didn't have the money to take any classes. Then my daughter introduced me to youtube videos.  All I can say was WOW! I found so much info on photography for beginners. I really learned a lot about my camera and how to get the best use of it. I was searching for editing photos when I came across videos of different scrapbooking channels and was immediately hooked. It was watching some talented paper crafters on YouTube where I realized what I enjoyed. The art of crafting and that I love it all types of crafts!  So that's me in a nutshell.....I 'm hoping to upload some of my projects soon for all to see my style. Thanks for reading my blog!
